The region

Around St. Andrä-Wördern

Our practice is north of Vienna, by the Danube and Eichenhain Nature Park. The region combines relaxing natural scenery with a wealth of nearby culture – adjoining Vienna with its diverse cultural attractions and at the heart of Austrian wine regions with varied dining options. A multi-day stay is worthwhile for patients from Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

The Danube and its side arm

St. Andrä-Wördern lies directly on the Danube. The peaceful Greifenstein side arm invites you to walk, cycle and unwind – a largely unspoilt floodplain on the doorstep.

Eichenhain Nature Park

The town is nestled in Eichenhain Nature Park: old oak trees, gentle hills and hiking trails shape the relaxing landscape immediately around the practice.

Klosterneuburg & its historic abbey

Just a few minutes away, Klosterneuburg is home to the historic Augustinian abbey with the famous Verdun Altarpiece – a cultural monument of European significance.

Albertine collection & Egon Schiele Museum

The Albertine collection in Klosterneuburg and the Egon Schiele Museum in nearby Tulln make the region a destination for art lovers from around the world.

The heart of Austrian wine regions

The surrounding area includes some of Austria’s oldest and most renowned wine-growing regions – from Wagram and the Thermenregion to Vienna’s vineyards, all within easy reach.

Culinary variety

Traditional wine taverns, fine restaurants and regional inns shape the immediate surroundings – ideal for enjoying a break in an idyllic setting after treatment.
